The Department of Interventional Radiology offers the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of diseases using minimally invasive techniques. The department utilizes radiologic guidance, comprised of fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to perform an ever-growing spectrum of minimally invasive procedures throughout the body.
The range of services offered is vast and includes vascular disease diagnosis, endovascular therapies, oncologic interventions, gastrointestinal interventions, treatment of female pelvis disorders, complex arteriovenous malformation management, renal collecting system interventions, hemodialysis access management, and numerous others.
The medical professionals utilize the most up-do-date technology and research data to perform the highest level of vascular and interventional radiologic services and safe and effective patient care. The medical professionals have expertise with imaging techniques which enables them to guide small catheters (Catheter is a small tube that can be inserted into a body cavity, duct or vessel, measuring just 1-4 mm) and guide-wires through blood vessels to treat many diseases.
